Weekly Newsletter 10/4/10

**NOTES TO PARENTS**

October 7th is our 40 day of school. It is very important that your child is at school and on time this day. It is one of our funding days. The state pays us based on who is in attendance and on time. This will be a PJ day for the class. Students may bring in a stuffed animal as long as it fits inside their backpacks. They may NOT wear slippers. Tennis shoes only!!!! I will not assign homework on this day. No spelling test this week.

There will be a Grandparents Day on Wednesday, October 13th. Grandparents will start out in the cafeteria at 9:00. In the cafeteria they will sign-in, get information and have a little snack. Grandparents will come to the classrooms around 10:00 and participate in a fun activity with the class. At 11:00 it will be time for the students to receive their report cards so grandparents will be asked to leave or wait for their grandchildren in the cafeteria.

Attached to the newsletter is a project we are going to be doing when the grandparents are here. Please read over it and send the supplies to school as soon as possible. We will do this project on Wednesday, October 13th.
