**NOTES TO PARENTS**
This quarter, spelling work will be done as homework. I will give the students a practice spelling test on Monday morning before they see the spelling words. Attached to the newsletter is a spelling tic tac toe board. Students will choose one activity to do each evening. They must turn in an activity Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning. On Thursday evening they are to take a practice spelling test and bring it to me on Friday morning. We will have a normal spelling test on Friday.
Friday, October 29th is our annual Harvest Fest. We are in need of candy for the booths for prizes. The class that has the most candy donated will win a party of their choice. Ms. O’Hare and I are going to be working together with a Nerf target practice booth. I need parent volunteers to help run the booth. All booths will accept these tickets. Tickets are on sale now 5 tickets for $1 until October 27th. The night of the event tickets will be 4 tickets for a $1.00
I was very pleased with the report cards that went out last week. We had 4 students on Principal Honor Roll (all A’s) and 2 students on Honor Roll (All A’s and 1 B). The same students that were on both honor rolls were the same students who had perfect attendance.
On Friday, October 29th our class will have a Harvest Party. Students may bring in goodies to share with the class. We do have 27 students and 1 teacher.
