**NOTES TO PARENTS**
October 7th is our 40 day of school. It is very important that your child is at school and on time this day. It is one of our funding days. The state pays us based on who is in attendance and on time.
Please feel free to contact me through the school at 721-4205 or email misty_fite@yahoo.com.
Our character trait for September is trustworthiness. The students will vote on who they think has been the most trustworthy during the month. This student will have lunch with the principal.
If you have a fingerprint clearance card and would be willing to go on a field trip with our class please contact me as soon as possible. I would love to have a few field trips this year but need parents/grandparents, aunts/uncles with fingerprint clearance cards.
There will be a fund raiser at Boston Market on September 24th at two of their locations. Grant & Tanque Verde and 22nd & Kolb.
I have a blog you can access through the La Paloma website www.lpatucson.org or missfite.blogspot.com. Every week I will post a copy of my current newsletter along with the spelling words for the week.
** WHAT WE ARE LEARNING**
In Phonics, we will concentrate on vowel-consonant-e.
In Math, we will be learning about reading a thermometer to the nearest 10 degrees, rounding numbers to the nearest ten, writing addition and subtraction facts families, and naming and drawing polygons.
In writing and language arts, we will review and take our first test on sentence structure
