**NOTES TO PARENTS**
We are down to the last 4 weeks of school. We will have 3 more weeks of homework. Please continue to make sure your child is doing and turning in his or her homework. Our last day of school will be Friday, May 28th. We will continue to learn new concepts the rest of the school year. The last week of school we will be reviewing.
We will have an end of the year party on the last day of school. Students maybe bring in a snack for the class.
Our Book Fair will be the week of May 3rd through May 7th. It will be buy one book get one free. This is also teacher appreciation week.
Wednesday, May 12th is Field Day. We will need donations of oranges and water.
This last 4 weeks of school is very busy. We have many things going on in and out of the classroom.
Wednesday, May 5th is our last Dress Down Day for a $1 this year.
Friday, May 7th is our last Pancake Breakfast with the Principal.

** WHAT WE ARE LEARNING**
In Phonics, we will be learning more sight words.
In Math, we will be simplifying expressions containing parentheses, multiplying three or more factors, writing tenths using common and decimal fractions, making and using a multiplication table, identifying prime numbers less than 20, and working backward to solve a problem.
In writing and language arts, we will review nouns.
In Science, we will start a research project on an inventor.
In Social Studies, we will learn how a government works.
