Weekly Newsletter 10/26/09

**NOTES TO PARENTS**

Friday, October 30th is our annual Harvest Fest. This year it will be at our Lakeside Campus. We are in need of candy for the booths for prizes. The class that brings in the most candy will receive a party of their choice. We are also in need of donations of hot dogs and hot dog buns. I am in desperate need of volunteers to help run the booth. Please let me know if you can help out for a 30 minute shift.

We are doing a couple of art projects this week. I will need each parent to bring in a small pumpkin by Thursday. We are going to be decorating them for our classroom. I am also going to need each student to bring in a brown paper bag half full with scrap materials (old newspapers, magazines, wrapping paper, yarn etc) by Wednesday. We are going to be creating our own scarecrows.

We will also have a Harvest party in our classroom on October 30th. Students may bring in goodies to share with the class. We do have 25 children and 2 adults in the classroom this year. Our party will take place at 10:00 a.m.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at misty_fite@yahoo.com or 721-4205.

**NOTES TO PARENTS**
Due to new insurance policies, we can not take field trips without the volunteers having a Fingerprint Clearance Card. I was curious if any of the parents/grandparents/guardians have this card. This is a card you get from the state. Please send me an email to let me know if you in fact have this card.

September’s Character Trait was Trustworthiness. Our class chose Darian Taylor as most trustworthy. He had lunch with the principal as his reward.
Thursday, October 8th is our 40 day of school. Our class will be learning and performing a number of plays on this day. Parents are welcome to come from 9 to 10 to watch these plays.
